Is the other person forcibly yanked where ever the hosts pleases or does the joinee have some sort of freedom? Things like this need to be thought about.
That's not to mention what happens when one person wants to go explore a cave and the other just wants to sell some loot at the nearby city. Then there's the fact that on PC people could just give themselves shit through commands, join a co-op game and then ruin their world (either by giving them overpowered shit right away and destroying the difficulty or by killing NPCs). You could always not use VATS(I usually don't), but it's something that has to be considered. Then there's the whole thing of 'How would it work?' With VATS stopping time while you pick a target I can imagine how obnoxious it would be for 2 people trying to kill monsters constantly being frozen while the other guy shoots. I'm not against co-op, but I'd rather have a bug-free singleplayer game than a buggy singleplayer and co-op one. Perhaps the company, now under Microsoft's banner, of course, has a group of people working out what the next, official new Fallout game will be.I'm in the 'Focus on making sure the game runs well before you add co-op' camp.
